Want free Wi-Fi? All it costs is your first born

How many times have we signed something digitally or physically without giving it as much attention as we probably should. Well the answers for apparently a lot of other Britons is to much. The guys at F-Secure recently did an experiment in the field, where a Wi-Fi hotspot was set up with a “Herod clause” promising free Wi-Fi if the recipient agreed to give away their eldest child for eternity. Six people signed and 27 people actually read the fine print and refused to sign.

F-Secure said they won’t seek to enforce the kid-grabbing clause… At least for now.

This campaign was put into place to try and improve public awareness when confronted with terms of use security issues like this one.
